Why we keep our range small (on purpose)

We get asked all the time why we keep our range deliberately small. The honest answer: because choosing well takes time, and we’d rather do that work for you than leave you scrolling through ten thousand near-identical listings.

Every product earns its place

Before anything reaches the shelf, someone on our team has used it. We’ve brewed the coffee, washed the linen at 40 and 60, worn the tees until they faded, and carried the weekender bag through a few too many train stations. If it doesn’t survive our own homes, it doesn’t make the cut.

We meet the makers

More than 120 independent producers supply Northgate Market, and we know most of them by name. Working directly means fairer prices for them, clearer provenance for you, and stories worth telling on every product page.

Curation is a kindness

Endless choice sounds generous but usually just means more decision fatigue. A tight, trusted range means you can buy with confidence and get on with your day. That’s the whole idea.
